The Discovery Welcomes a New Landmark Edition: What's New

The Land Rover Discovery has added a new trim to its lineup: the Discovery Landmark. It joins the Discovery S and the range-topping Discovery Tempest, giving Montreal families three distinct ways to configure the brand's original seven-seat SUV.

Every Discovery in the lineup still offers the same seven-seat layout, up to 2,485 litres of cargo space, and a braked towing capacity of up to 3,500 kg. What changes between trims is the design detailing, interior finishes, and equipment level, so here's a closer look at what each one offers before you decide which is right for your family.

At a Glance: Discovery S, Landmark, and Tempest

Discovery Landmark: The New Addition

The Discovery Landmark celebrates the model's history with a mountain logo on the front tread plates, centre console, and puddle lamp projectors, echoing detailing found on earlier Discovery models. It's also the first Discovery available in Tasman Blue, a metallic paint inspired by the original Clearwater Blue offered when Discovery launched in 1989.

  • Tasman Blue metallic paint, exclusive to the Landmark trim
  • 21-inch alloy wheels in a new Dark Agate Grey finish
  • Dark grey brushed aluminium trim with Landmark branding
  • Panoramic sunroof and a centre console refrigerator for family trips

Discovery S and Discovery Tempest

The Discovery S remains the entry point into the lineup, with Duoleather seating, wireless phone charging, and up to nine USB charging points throughout the cabin, making it a practical choice for everyday family driving.

At the top of the range, the Discovery Tempest is now available in Borasco Grey, a new colour offered exclusively on this trim, alongside Petra Copper accents on the roof, fenders, and tow-eye covers. Inside, Tempest adds Extended Windsor leather detailing and 22-inch wheels for a more elevated cabin and stance.

Powering Every Discovery

Every Discovery trim shares the same six-cylinder Ingenium engine. The P360 petrol produces 360 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque and makes use of a 48-volt mild-hybrid technology. This engine pairs with an Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system to keep power delivery smooth across changing road conditions, from a snowy on-ramp to a dry highway.

Which Discovery Trim Is Right for You?

Families who want a straightforward, comfortable seven-seat SUV for daily driving will find what they need in the Discovery S. Drivers who want a distinctive look with added family-friendly extras, like the panoramic sunroof and refrigerated console, should look at the new Landmark trim. For those who want the most refined cabin and the boldest presence on the road, the Discovery Tempest sits at the top of the lineup.

Whichever trim you choose, the seven-seat layout and stadium-style seating mean every row gets a clear view forward, with the rearmost seats built to comfortably fit adults up to 1.90 m tall, so nobody in the family is left out of the view.
