Three impressive new features of the 2023 Range Rover Sport

The Ranger Rover Sport has just made its debut, and to say the least, it's living up to the expectations that were placed on it. This is especially true since the introduction of its big brother, the Range Rover, which has received nothing but praise since its debut.

To give you an idea of what to expect with the 2023 Range Rover Sport, here are three technologies that really impress us with this new generation of the model.

An electric trio

The first of the three impressive new features of the 2023 Range Rover Sport is a... trio of engines. In fact, the new model will be served with a hybrid configuration, but also a plug-in hybrid approach. Both are backed by a powerful 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-6 engine.

But that's not all; in 2024, an all-electric variant will join the family.

That's by far the first thing that impresses about this 2023 Ranger Rover Sport, which is the wide variety of its green approaches. And, of course, a V8 engine is still on the menu for those who want it.

Active Noise Cancellation

Noise can be one of the most annoying elements of a road trip. You get used to it, but it's when you climb aboard a model with outstanding soundproofing that you realize how much your daily life is affected by noise pollution.

The 2023 Ranger Rover Sport takes this to a new level with the next generation of active noise cancellation technology. It filters out unwanted outside noise so you can focus on enjoying a quiet ride. How does it work? By using microphones inside each wheel well. These detect the noise and digital processors calculate the amount of sound that needs to be generated to eliminate these unwanted frequencies. All of this is done through the Meridian's speakers, including those located in the headrests.

It's impressive, really.

All-wheel drive steering

We're used to expecting little from an SUV when it comes to handling. That notion should be tossed aside with the new 2023 Ranger Rover Sport, because this model offers the handling of a sports car, literally. One of the technologies that allows it to be so reassuring and incisive on the road is without a doubt the all-wheel drive steering. The latter operates in two different ways.

First, at low speeds, it turns the rear wheels in the opposite direction to the front wheels, all to provide superior handling and reduce the turning radius, for example. The turning radius is less than 11 meters, which is equivalent to that of a compact model.

At high speeds, the system works differently. Specifically, the rear wheels steer up to 7.3 degrees in the same direction as the front wheels, making it easier to change lanes and make more sinuous maneuvers at high speeds. In fact, this greatly improves the stability of the model.

We could go on and on, because there are so many innovations in the new 2023 Ranger Rover Sport. Come and see it at the dealership to find out just how much the company has done with this new model.
