A Look at the New 2023 Range Rover Sport Safety Technology

The New 2023 Range Rover Sport is one of the safest Range Rover models ever made due to its numerous advanced safety technologies that help prevent accidents and protect passengers. Here are some of them.

Occupant Protection Assist

The new 2023 Range Rover Sport is equipped with Occupant Protection Assist. This technology uses a variety of sensors to detect when a risk of collision is present. If the system senses a collision is about to occur, it closes the windows and the sunroof, readjusts the front seats and applies tension to the seatbelts. All of this contributes to protecting the occupants as best as possible during a crash by making sure the front occupants are in an optimal position for the seatbelts and airbags as well as by preventing debris from entering the vehicle through open windows.

Driver Condition Response

If it detects the driver is not paying attention or is falling asleep, the Driver Condition Response system fitted to the new 2023 Range Rover Sport will ensure the safety of everyone on board. To do so, the system monitors a number of parameters to determine when a driver is not paying attention to the road. If this happens, the lane-centring system is activated to make sure the vehicle doesn’t drift out of its lane in a way that could cause an accident. At the same time, audible signals are heard in the cabin to try and regain the driver’s focus.

Adaptive Speed Limiter with Traffic Sign Recognition

The new 2023 Range Rover Sport is equipped with an adaptive speed limiter and traffic sign recognition. These two systems can work together to make sure the vehicle is never driving faster than the speed limit. This is because cameras pick up a number of road signs such as the speed limit and no overtaking zones, which are then displayed in the instrument cluster and the head-up display. In addition, the speed limiter automatically adjusts the speed of the vehicle to the new limit, without requiring actions from the driver.

Discovery Sport Beach Days Pack: What's in It and How Montréal Families Actually Use It This Summer

The Discovery Sport has always been built around the idea that a family SUV should handle every version of a day out — not just the commute. For summer in Québec, that means beach days on the South Shore, afternoons at Lac-Memphrémagog, and impromptu detours to the waterfront at Parc national du Mont-Orford.
