What to expect from the new 2023 Range Rover Sport?

The Range Rover Sport is something new this year. The model has been completely redesigned and based on what we saw with the big brother, the Range Rover, we can expect something spectacular.

While we wait for the arrival of the model, which will be presented on May 10, here's what we're anticipating with it.

First of all, in terms of design, we should see a vehicle with the same sleek signature introduced with the big brother Range Rover. This will only add to the class that this model already exudes. New LED signatures for the headlights and taillights, a slimmed down grille, a body that cuts through the wind better, that's what to expect.

And, of course, that more receding roof at the back, which allows for immediate recognition of the model. Note that it should also remain shorter than the older member of the family.

Under the hood, things should continue to evolve. First of all, the 3.0-litre turbocharged 6-cylinder engine will still be available, with power currently ranging from 355 to 395 horsepower.

What's new is the V8 engine. We'll be saying goodbye to the 5-liter supercharger block and making way for a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 from BMW's partner. The capacity should still be between 500 and 600 horsepower.

An eight-speed automatic transmission should still be on board to send power to all four wheels.

Inside, the signature look will of course be enhanced and we can expect an even richer presentation; this is the norm at Land Rover when redesigning a model. Then, in other good news, the latest generation of the Pivi Pro multimedia system is anticipated in the center console. With its efficient touch controls and user-friendly interface, it's only going to get easier for the driver and occupants.

And if we take two seconds to look to the future, it's the possible arrival of a plug-in hybrid version that will be worth watching. This, of course, is before an all-electric livery is released.

In short, a lot of interesting things await us with this 2023 Range Rover Sport. We'll have a chance to come back to it after the model's presentation. We'll be able to go into all the juicy details then.

Range Rover Long Wheelbase Seven-Seat: Why Montreal's Executive Families Are Paying Attention

Most seven-seat luxury SUVs ask you to accept a trade-off. The third row gets the space, but it comes at the cost of rear-seat refinement, cargo volume, or the kind of ride quality that makes a long vehicle feel composed rather than cumbersome. The Range Rover Long Wheelbase (LWB) with seven seats was engineered to reject that compromise. It adds 200 mm to the wheelbase over the Standard... Read more

Range Rover has drawn design inspiration from London for decades. The Linley Edition, unveiled in Park Lane in 1999, channelled Mayfair sophistication. The brand's 50th-anniversary collaboration with Savile Row tailor Henry Poole & Co. celebrated the city's sartorial heritage by weaving a custom fabric inspired by the original Range Rover interior.
