Three Technologies that Improve Winter Life in Your Land Rover

Land Rover vehicles are some of the best-suited SUVs for tackling cold weather and challenging road conditions due to a number of advanced technologies, some of which are exclusive to the brand.

The Terrain response system

Every Land Rover vehicles benefit from the company’s more than 70 years of experience in building extremely capable off-roading vehicles. The Terrain Response system is available on every Land Rover model, with a few differences between the capabilities and features depending on the vehicle. This system makes the most out of the competent all-wheel drive system by allowing the driver to select the drive mode that is most appropriate for the current road conditions. In most versions of the system, an Auto mode is available in order to let the vehicle determine the best settings to use on its own. These drive modes affect the characteristics of the all-wheel drive system and the powertrain in general in order to offer the maximum level of grip at all times.

Many ways to keep warm

Land Rover vehicles are equipped with premium automatic climate control systems and a number of heated surfaces that work together to provide an impressive level of comfort for everyone on board. In some models, the climate control system is divided into 4 zones which can all be programmed individually in order to cater to the preferences of four passengers in terms of ideal temperature. To make sure no one is too cold, heated seats for the front and the rear are part of the feature list for any Land Rover vehicle, as is the heated steering wheel. In the more expensive vehicles from the brand, the front seats can include a massage feature with a hot stone function that helps the driver and their passenger to relax.

The InControl app

Land Rover vehicles equipped with the connected services are compatible with the InControl app, which allows drivers to control many features of their vehicles from the comfort of their homes. One of those features is the remote start, which can be used prior to departing in order to make sure that the interior of the vehicle is comfortable even when first entering it.
