The 2022 Range Rover Evoque: Advanced Engineering Inside and Out

The Evoque is a luxury subcompact crossover that’s built for many types of roads. It features 211 mm of ground clearance that extends off- and on-road capabilities. Ultrasonic sensors enable the Evoque to wade up to 60 cm and optional Wade Sensing detects water depth. This is an important feature, especially around trails and other natural areas. 

The long wheelbase of 2,682 mm provides the Evoque with a more stable platform and optimal size ratio with the 4,371 mm length. The height of 1,648 mm enables drivers to have a clearer view of what’s ahead. 

The 2022 Range Rover Evoque Focuses on Power and Torque

The AWD Range Rover Evoque line features the P250 AWD, a turbocharged 2.0 L four-cylinder engine that generates 246 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. It pairs with a nine-speed automatic for enhanced performance and efficient operation, helping trim models achieve a fuel consumption rating of 11.8/8.7 L/100 km (city/highway).

Other trims include include the P290 engine with AWD, which is also a turbocharged 2.0 L four-cylinder engine that works with an electric motor to increase efficiency and horsepower to 296 and torque to 295. The P290 achieves a fuel consumption rating of 11.4/8.9 L/100 km (city/highway). 

The Evoque applies Adaptive Dynamics, which actively controls dampers that adjust suspension settings for optimal comfort and agility for the driving situation. Torque Vectoring assists with cornering by applying controlled braking to control understeer, while the Active Rear Locking Differential increases traction and grip during off-road excursions. 

The 2022 Range Rover Evoque Creates Volume and More

When cargo volume is essential, the Evoque configures to provide up to 1838 litres of space behind the front seats. With rear seats up, the vehicle commits 591 litres - double the volume of many sedan trunk capacities. Front occupants also enjoy 1,016 mm of legroom and 1,438 mm of shoulder room. 

Each interior receives the Land Rover InConnect infotainment system that includes Touch Pro software. Buyers can opt for Touch Pro Duo, which provides dual 10-inch touchscreens for more flexibility. Users commonly split-screen navigation and media information.
