Spring maintenance guide: how to take good care of your Land Rover

With the arrival of spring, a few maintenance operations are required on our vehicles. Whether it's the traditional installation of summer tires or the equally traditional oil change, it's important to act quickly in order to give your vehicle the attention it deserves.

This is especially true when the vehicle in question is a Land Rover. If you've decided to invest in a brand as prestigious as Land Rover, you'll want to take steps to protect your "investment". It's not about overdoing it here; it's about doing the right thing. Let's take a look at how to prepare your Land Rover vehicle for the upcoming season.

Your Land Rover Workshop

First of all, it's important to note that your Land Rover workshop is the place to go for the necessary tune-ups that are required before summer. You can of course take care of certain things at home, such as washing the interior, checking certain ducts or belts, or checking the level of certain fluids, but for oil changes and replacements, don't hesitate to go to the dealership and entrust your vehicle to the experts.

Tires

Do you need new summer tires? If so, we will be able to advise you on the right type of tires for your vehicle, but also according to the use you make of it. As you know, Land Rover products are equally at home on and off the road. However, if you're not going to venture off the paved roads, you don't need something that responds well in the mud, sand or gravel. The reverse is also true. That's why it's important to have this kind of discussion with your shop expert so that he or she can recommend the right rubber for your model.

And, of course, he or she can store your winter tires until you need them again next fall.

Special Needs

Owning a Land Rover model may also mean that you need to have your vehicle's 4x4 system checked, as it is often used for off-road driving. Also, if your model is powered by a diesel engine, it will be important to tune up the proper functioning of this powertrain and its components.

Finally, when you come to the Land Rover workshop, you can take advantage of a host of other services aimed at preparing your vehicle for the warm season. An interior or exterior wash (both?), a wax, paint protection? Don't hesitate to ask.
