New 2023 Land Rover Defender 130 adds three-row practicality

Introduced earlier this week, the 2023 Land Rover Defender 130 is the new three-row versions of the Defender. It joins the current two-door Defender 90 and mid-level Defender 110. It will also offer more cargo space than other Defender models, and a different lineup of standard features as well.

What hasn’t changed is the impressive lineup of features and luxury found in every Defender, and the new 2023 Defender 130 will also offer more cargo capacity than the Defender 110 while preserving the rugged performance inherent in the Defender.

More cargo capacity and more interior space in the 2023 Land Rover Defender 130

The 2023 Land Rover Defender 130 is obviously longer than the current Defender 110. Measuring over 5 metres, the Defender 130 is roughly 34 cm longer than the Defender 110 while its wheelbase measure 3.02 metres. This creates a generous third row with enough leg room for taller passengers, and the new Defender 130 will also come with a standard panoramic sunroof paired with a third-row glass panel that creates an enhanced sense of space inside.

The Defender 130 will offer nearly 400 liters behind the third row and more than 2,200 liters in total in the trunk. That's about 400 liters more than the Defender 110.

Powering the 2023 Land Rover Defender 130 is a 3.0-litre inline-six engine paired with a 48V mild hybrid system. It delivers 395 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque which will power the largest Defender in just 6.6 seconds. This engine will also allow the new Defender 130 to tow 8,200 pounds, an impressive number for an SUV in this segment. Moreover, the new three-row Defender will deliver exceptional off-road capability as is expected from a Land Rover product.

Featuring the impressive Land Rover iAWD system, the Defender 130 also offers the advanced Terrain Response system and has the ability to forge through 90 cm of water.

The 2023 Land Rover Defender 130 is a unique vehicle in the industry. It has three rows of practical space, a luxurious and refined interior highlighted by an 11.4-inch centre display with the PIVI Pro infotainment system, and exceptional off-road capability.

The new Land Rover Defender 130 starts at $93,000. Give us a call today to learn more!

Range Rover Long Wheelbase Seven-Seat: Why Montreal's Executive Families Are Paying Attention

The third row gets the space, but it comes at the cost of rear-seat refinement, cargo volume, or the kind of ride quality that makes a long vehicle feel composed rather than cumbersome. The Range Rover Long Wheelbase (LWB) with seven seats was engineered to reject that compromise. It adds 200 mm to the wheelbase over the Standard... Read more
