Here's why protecting your vehicle in the winter is crucial

The damage that calcium can cause in winter is countless. And the effects are devastating, often permanent. That's why it's crucial to think about protecting your vehicle in the winter from the long-term effects it can cause. Here are three suggestions.

1 - Paint sealant

Winter gives our vehicles a treatment we wouldn't want for our worst enemy, a cocktail of salt, debris, ice, cold, calcium, etc. Considering all this, it is natural to think about adding a protective layer to our vehicles, starting with paint. The good news is that there are several solutions available to you, including a paint sealer. Your dealer will be able to guide you in this regard. Basically, we're talking about a synthetic solution that is more effective and more durable than a simple wax. It is strongly recommended to have it applied by professionals.

2 - Protect the interior

Calcium has the ability to wreak incredible havoc in your vehicle. The first place it will attack is where it will primarily be left, on the floor. The purchase of floor mats is therefore the best choice. They are designed to collect all possible debris to prevent it from getting to your floor mats and your floor. And they are easy to clean. Then, for all other surfaces, there are solutions to form a shield around them. Just think of a fabric sealer for your seats. Here, the investment is minor while the benefits are major.

3 - Protective underlay

After having protected the interior and exterior, you should think about doing the same for everything underneath your vehicle? Applying a wax or rubber-based composite material, often in the form of a spray, does the job. Be careful, however, the surfaces to be protected will have to be cleaned and decontaminated beforehand. Entrust this task to your dealer for complete peace of mind; he will know how to do the job properly.
