A look at the improvements made to the 2023 Range Rover Sport
July 25 2022,
The Range Rover Sport has gotten a comprehensive redesign for 2023, adding hybrid tech, new styling and new interior features.
Styling-wise, the Sport has the slimmest headlight lenses ever fitted to a Land Rover of any kind, as well as a more rounded rear fascia and lowered plate location to provide an even squatter look to this sportiest of Range Rovers. From the side, the eye is immediately drawn to the flared surfaces and high beltline. And of course, let’s not forget features like black wheels and contrast colour roof as well as flush-mounted door handles.
Inside, the 2023 Range Rover Sport gets a new curved 13.1-inch infotainment screen as well as a 13.7” digital gauge cluster, optional 29-speaker Meridian audio system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as Amazon Alexa. It should come as no surprise that the seats and other interior surfaces are covered in the highest quality leather with optional carbon fibre inserts. You can also opt for a rear-seat entertainment system.
Four trims are available: P400 Dynamic S, P400 Dynamic SE, P440e Dynamic HSE plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and P53 First Edition. We find three engine choices spread across the four trims: a 48V mild-hybrid straight six making 395 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque, the PHEV is good for 434 hp and 457 lb-ft while the First Edition gets a fire-breathing twin turbo V8 good for 523 hp and 553 lb-ft.
Speaking of the PHEV version; look to be able to cruise for up to 77 km on full EV power with a full charge. So not only do you get the increased power associated with the PHEV model, but will be running more efficiently as well.
Of course, this being a Range Rover, it’s very capable off-road as well with four-wheel steering, auto-lifting air suspension and the ability to wade in up to 35” of water.
So come visit us soon for an up-close look at this great new Range Rover Sport!
