A look at Land Rover and Range Rover towing capabilities and Advanced Tow Assist

We've heard about the impressive cargo capacity and the even more impressive all-terrain capability of Land Rover and Range Rover vehicles, but another feature of the brand's SUV lineup is the impressive towing capability of its models. Most Land Rover and Range Rover models outperform their direct competitors when it comes to towing capability and the new Land Rover Defender is one such example with its impressive 3,500kg towing capability.

Even a smaller model like the Land Rover Discovery Sport can tow up to 2,000 kg while the sporty Range Rover Velar can tow over 5,500 lbs.

If you are looking to tow a small boat or a camper or some jet skis this summer, every Land Rover or Range Rover vehicle will be able to meet your needs. Some Land Rover and Range Rover vehicles also come with what is called Advanced Tow Assist, a system that works in conjunction with the Terran Response system in order to better control the trajectory of the trailer and enhance the confidence behind the wheel when towing.

Our team will be more than happy to help you find the right Land Rover or Range Rover based on your towing needs. Let's take a look at the capabilities offered by Land Rover and Range Rover vehicles.

  • Land Rover Defender: 3,500 kg (7,720 lb)
  • Land Rover Discovery: 3,720 kg (8,200 lb)
  • Land Rover Discovery Sport: 2,000 kg (4,410 lb)

Discovery Sport Beach Days Pack: What's in It and How Montréal Families Actually Use It This Summer

The Discovery Sport has always been built around the idea that a family SUV should handle every version of a day out — not just the commute.
