3 Technologies of the Range Rover Evoque that are Useful in Winter

The Range Rover Evoque is a great vehicle to have during the harsh Canadian winters due to many characteristics and technologies, three of which will be highlighted here.

The AWD system

The Range Rover Evoque benefits from all of Land Rover’s many decades worth of expertise in the domain of all-wheel drive systems, which makes it one of the most capable premium compact SUVs on the market. Combined with Terrain Response 2, this system can send the engine’s power to the wheels with the most traction at all times. Land Rover’s renowned Terrain Response system also allows you to chose between many drive modes, including snow. The Auto mode allows for the system to decide how to react according to the road conditions that have been observed by the vehicle. This allows for greatly increased performances on slippery surfaces and a safe driving experience.

The driver assistance features

The Range Rover Evoque is equipped with a host of standard and available driver assistance features that make driving in the winter safer. For example, the Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) monitors the rotation speed of every wheel to detect skidding as soon as it begins. In order to stabilise the Evoque and make it regain traction, this system applies the brakes to the appropriate wheels. DSC also includes Roll Stability Control, which prevents a rollover by braking the outside front wheel in a violent steering manoeuvre at speed.

The Comfort features

Despite being the entry level model, the Evoque has all of the creature comforts expected in a Range Rover, such as the two-zone automatic climate control which allows you and your passenger to select different temperatures, both of which will be maintained automatically, no matter if its 30 degrees or -20 degrees outside. In addition, the standard heated seats and heated steering wheel will help you warm up quickly on cold days.
