2021 Range Rover Velar gets big changes

The new 2021 Range Rover Velar has received some significant updates, most of which can be found under the hood. There are also some significant improvements inside, notably with the infotainment system.

The biggest change is the introduction of the new P400e plug-in hybrid version. By electrifying the 2021 Range Rover Velar, Range Rover now offers a hybrid or plug-in hybrid version in all of its models. No other luxury SUV builder can say the same. The P400e delivers a ton of performance thanks to its combination of a 2.0-litre, turbocharged four-cylinder and electric motor. Together, they deliver 398 horsepower which means that you will reach 100 km/h in just 5.1 seconds while enjoying roughly 40 kilometres of all-electric range.

There are two new diesel engines available in Europe, but no word yet on whether or not these engines will come to North America.

Inside, the new 2021 Range Rover Velar gets the Pivi infotainment system that is designed to be easier to use. It features nicer graphics and faster reaction times, making interactions with the system a lot more enjoyable. Range Rover also says it improved the insulation around the Velar to guarantee better soundproofing and comfort.

Last but not least, there’s a new Lantau Bronze color available on the 2021 Range Rover Velar.
